Our biggest science art project yet – literally

We’re excited to announce that we’ve completed our biggest science art project so far – a piece that’s 7 storeys tall!

We’ve worked with a whole range of collaborators to bring a dull, blank wall to stunning, scientific life. They include the Stobswell Forum, Open Close Dundee and Dundee City Council. They also include a lot of individuals, including the residents of Craigie Street and talented mural artist Lewi Quinn. Of course, it also includes many of our scientists, and we’re really grateful to everyone who contributed their expertise.

Professor David Horn, WCAIR Interim Director, said “We’re incredibly excited to see the microscopic become so much larger than life. Great science is all about collaboration, and combining our research with Dundee City Council, OpenClose Dundee, the Stobswell Forum, and talented artists like Lewi is proof that amazing things happen when we work together.”
