Marina Brandao Da Fonseca

My name is Marina Brandão da Fonseca, I am Brazilian, with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Chemistry, and currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Chemistry. My work in the laboratory has always involved multicomponent reactions aimed at discovering bioactive compounds (anticancer and antimalarial). The idea of being a scientist began with a desire to uncover new things that can help improve people’s lives, which is why I have dedicated myself to medicinal chemistry throughout my academic career. I believe that WCAIR is the perfect place to enhance my knowledge of medicinal chemistry and, in turn, become a better scientist.
