Bonding: Electrons are FREE

Book your free slot to see the exhibition at our complete list of openings on Eventbrite.

We’re absolutely delighted to announce our brand new LifeSpace exhibition Bonding – Electrons are FREE. This joyous event celebrates the creative collaboration of Emily Fong and Alan Fairlamb, in conversation with WCAIR, Semay Wu and Ania Urbanowska. It’s a fabulous new chapter in our science art work, and we couldn’t be more thrilled about it.

A new bond

Emily and Alan have worked together since the early days of Covid lockdowns. They’ve each shared their deep knowledge of art and science respectively, and formed a bond that has transcended discipline.

They spent a week occupying LifeSpace in November 2022, living in the gallery as parasites. Over the occupation, they adapted the building to better suit their needs, as a parasite does to its host. They discovered new and exciting things about the School of Life Sciences, and let its regular inhabitants look at it in a new, more curious way.

We’ve now taken their learnings from the occupation AND added in a few more creative minds in the form of Ania Urbanowksa and Semay Wu. We’re incredibly excited to present this exhibition to you now. We hope you can come in, heal, and play in our spaces – you are welcome.

To whet your artistic appetite, we’ve here are a few pictures from our launch night…
