LGBT+ History Month 2022
At WCAIR we are passionate about equality, diversity, and inclusion. As such we are delighted to be able to support LGBT+ History Month at the University again. We’ve used our public enagagement skills to set up the framework for the month’s events, and we’ll be presenting some of our own work during the month.
As with any large-scale endeavour, team work is a key part of the event. That’s why we’re so excited about being able to work with a OneDundee approach. By collaborating with colleagues across the University, we’re able to achieve much more together than we would as individuals. The Month will include a fabulous variety of events:
- A look at science art from two of our favourite queer artists. This includes Emily Fong, our digital artist in residence
- The Grand Rounds at Ninewells. This year we will be exploring the deeply problematic practice of so-called conversion ‘therapy
- We will dig into the difficulties of researching Soviet LGBT+ history in today’s Russia
- Our traditional (for the age of Covid) PowerPoint Party, run over Zoom
