Drug design: drug discovery

With Drug discovery, drug design, you can explore the Wellcome Centre for Anti-Infectives Research’s latest work.

Our LifeSpace science art research gallery will be showing off our brand-new exhibition. This will highlight the Centre’s partnership with Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, as well as our own team’s creativity. We’ll also have lots hands on activities to explore some of the vital scientific research going on in the Centre.

We’re particularly excited to be running tours of the Drug Discovery Unit at 12.30 pm, 1pm, 1.30pm and 2pm. These purpose-built laboratories house world class facilities for drug discovery. We want to translate what are often called ‘basic research discoveries’ into candidate drugs, ready for clinical trials. Please note we can only have those aged 12 and above in our labs. Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
