Natural products discovery is currently quite challenging as the rate of re-isolation is quite high. Finding new sources from under-explored habitats is one strategy to compact this issue. Using genetic and epigenetic approaches together with metabolomics analysis are of great impact in tracing new/novel products. The talk will cover some aspects of such approaches and end with a few success stories from our natural product groups.
