Drug Discovery Africa, 12-14th March 2025

The University of Ghana and WCAIR invite you to join us in Accra from 12-14th March 2025. Our aim is showcase African led drug discovery research against endemic infectious diseases. The conference will bring together leading drug discovery researchers from across Africa and those from Industry and Product Partner Development organisations working alongside them. The conference aims to strengthen existing networks, generate new collaborations and share knowledge.

We welcome attendees at all stages of their career. Join us for invited keynotes, selected talks from early career researchers, and networking opportunities.

There will be travel bursaries to support the attendance of early career researchers from across Africa. All African ECRs submitting an abstract for a poster or short-talk will be eligible to apply.

Travel bursaries

Aligning with WCAIR and the Universities of Dundee and Ghana mission for training and capability building we are keen to make the conference accessible to early career researchers (PhD students and post doctoral research associates) by offering bursaries to cover registration, accommodation and travel costs to ECRs who would otherwise not have funds to attend the meeting. All ECRs who submit an abstract for a poster or short-talk will be eligible for a bursary.  If you wish to be considered please tick the box on the abstract submission form and  submit a brief statement to explain why a bursary would allow you to attend the conference.
